Comparative civic cultures
As Americans gear up to celebrate the 4th of July, I was thinking about a comparative project for students.
What are the "national days" of the six AP countries? How are they recognized/celebrated/commemorated (both officially and in the mass culture)?
How about asking 6 groups of students in class to look this up for each of the AP6? And then present to the class what they found. Could be a good time for all.
