Causes of change in political culture
If you're interested in using the attempts at public shaming in Shenzhen as a case study, I just added another comment. This one is from one of the writers for China Law Blog.Dan Harris wrote, in part, "Something like this has to have an impact, however small. China's government is obviously not a democracy, yet it still both wants and needs its people to view it as legitimate... this incident ought to at least give the Chinese government a little more pause before trampling on the rights of its people."
The original entry and all the comments are at Anomaly or real change in political culture.
