Attitudes and politics

The latest in the Pew Global Attitudes Project is titled "World Publics Welcome Global Trade -- But Not Immigration."

These polls often offer great data to present to students for their interpretation before they look at the Pew analyses.

This chart is the one making headlines, and it offers support for the existence of a post-materialist sub culture.

But, the complete report is a 1.9MB .pdf document and includes much more. It offers opportunities for students to look for correlations between attitudes and transparency or between these attitudes and human rights.

The July report was titled "A Rising Tide Lifts Mood in the Developing World."

The June report was "Global Unease With Major World Powers."
